Great Warsaw Race
Long unseen crowds of spectators arrived in Służewiec to watch the Autumn Gala, of which the main event was the 100th Great Warsaw Race.


The Służewiec Racetrack is a legendary place on the map of Warsaw. And you can feel it especially when you are a guest at the track during so great days like the Race Day of the Great Warsaw. Year 2013 was a special year. It was the year of the 100th anniversary of the Great Warsaw Race.
Guests visiting Służewiec on this day were transferred to the times of the ancient capital, its customs and unique climate. They could try traditional Polish dishes, take the already historic „Warszawa” car or see how a coin used to be minted. The theatre group „Warszawiaki” encouraged to play and root together. Traditionally, a contest for the most beautiful dress in the style of old capital was held.
The 100th Great Warsaw Race was won by Patronus, the horse ridden by Szczepan Mazur. Patronus took PLN 150,000 home for its owner.
It was a beautiful sports and cultural festival in Służewiec with attendance of more than 15,000 visitors.
