IDENTIFICATION AND VETERINARY REQUIREMENTS

All horses participating in the races are identified on the basis of a passport and a transponder number. The passport must be provided to the veterinarian office 1 hour prior the first race.

The horses participating in the races are required to comply with the following influenza vaccination schedule:

a. basic vaccination

• first vaccination
• second vaccination – not earlier than on the 21st day and not later than on the 60 day from the date of the first vaccination
• third vaccination not earlier than on the 120 day and not later than on the 180 day from the date of the second vaccination

b. revaccination every 12 months from the date of the last vaccinationit 
c. is not allowed to vaccinate a horse later than 7 days before the race

Foreign horses must have valid negative Coggins test results for equine infectious anaemia (EIA) which has been carried out not earlier than 30 days before the race. All vaccinations and tests must be recorded and confirmed in a horse’s passport by an authorised veterinarian.
